Peshawar Zalmi came back to victory after twice losing by big margins even without Babar Azam, who was absent due to illness.

Zalmi's win over Islamabad United means that when the playoffs begin next week, the two teams will meet again in the elimination zone.

If Islamabad had chased 180 points, they would have overtaken Multan Sultans for second place and would have faced Lahore Qalandars in Wednesday's qualifier.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who was surprisingly named captain in Babar's absence, saw his team recover after losing Sameer Ayub for no runs in the first over and Vanuka Rajapaksa, who took third place, shared a 115-run stand with Haris in just 9.4 overs.

Sri Lanka's Rajapaksa eventually lost his early momentum when he was slog-swept by Shadab Khan for 41 before Kohli-Cadmore drove him for 12 and Harris failed to bowl a full toss from Shadab off the pitch, dashing Peshawar's hopes of chasing 240-plus.
